The Author

Blythe Ford is an author and poet from Sewanee, TN. They are passionate about mental health after a decade of recovery from severe depression, anxiety, and PTSD, and they believe good mental health starts with the things we learn in childhood. How the Owlet Learned to Be Wise is their first children's book. They were inspired to write it to communicate to their cousins the importance of self-love and love for others.
Their other current project is a blog featuring poetry they wrote during their recovery and the stories and lessons behind each poem.
